Boston has a large number of very pretty churches, which largely seem to be painted white inside. This makes for airy, bright spaces, which are unlike historic churches in Europe. I mean – if I had said that I’d taken these in a National Trust property in the Cotswolds, you wouldn’t have blinked an eyelid, admit it.
